The 2008 super hit blockbuster Race film directed by Abbas-Mustan confirmed about Deepika Padukone. Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone now is a part of Race sequel. In Race 2 Deepika Padukone acts with Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and John Abraham. Ever since producer Ramesh Taurani and director Abba-Mustan says that Katrina Kaif and Akshay Khanna will not be a part of Race 2, as they were killed off in the Race.

Deepika Padukone replace Priyanka Chopra for the Race 2. Abbas Mustan says our first choice was Priyanka Chopra, but due to her busy schedule she will not to be a part of this film. Priyanka Chopra is currently focus on Don 2 starring with Shahrukh Khan in Berlin. Abbas Mustan says Deepika Padukone is a part of our Race 2, we are yet to finalise two other girls for the film. We will confirmed about other two girls as soon as everything is confirmed.
